| Abstract | The study of human resource management becomes crucial to all firms regardless of locations, scopes, sizes and respective industries. This research study examines human resource policies and practices of PTT Exploration and Production Public Co., Ltd and in-depth questionnaire survey were made to investigate the perception gap between management and employees upon the firm's human resource management. The management of the company wants its policies and practices to serve best to the needs of the employees in order to motivate them in every dimension and thereby improve the company's profitability and competitiveness. But it is natural that the perception between management and its employees may not always be identical due to many considerable factors. This research points out that one of the most difficult things in human resource management is to match the firm's policies and practices with the changing and increasing needs of the employees. Finally, the researcher proposes some possible course of actions to PTTEP to improve their human resource practices so as to achieve the organizational effectiveness. |
