AbstractTourism development can have positive economic effects on local economies, and a visible impact on national GDP growth. It can be also an essential component for both economic development and poverty reduction. Therefore, tourism development becomes a major concern for many Least Developed Countries particularly in the countries like Myanmar. Myanmar is a wonderful country which is full of many pagodas, temples and monuments all over the country. Among them, Bagan is Myanmar's most famous historical site for overwhelming number of temples, stupas and other religious building from 11th to 13th centuries which are consisted in a single site and primary tourist attraction. It is also the centre for the manufacturing of traditional lacquerware products in Myanmar. Moreover, Bagan stands alongside the other great centers of South East Asia, comparable only to Angkor Wat in Cambodia. So, Bagan became one of the attractive destinations for both local and foreign visitors. However, the tourist arrivals are not too much in Bagan comparing with Angkor Wat. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to provide tourism development in Bagan by analyzing international tourists' satisfaction of their travel experience with tourist attractions, facilities and services because modern travelers are generating demand for better quality, more value for money and greater flexibility in the travel experience. Data was obtained from questionnaire survey, informal interview with international tourists, and in-depth personal interviews with the government official of Myanmar Travels and Tourism in Bagan and two private stakeholders of tourism industry. Finally, based on the results of the analysis and data collected, recommendations were made for the Myanmar tourism authority and private stakeholders for the development of tourism industry in Bagan and giving travelers positive and memorable experience when they visited to Bagan.
