Abstract | This thesis illustate the essential elements of the modeling and design of the paramotor flying robot mobile platfrom. Consisting of the flying vehicle, a chute and adequate maneuverability for operation of low speed flight. Flying robot was operated in two ways in the first case, the robot was launched with maximum launch weight under fully control by operator and in the second case the robot was controlled at constant speed on safeties altitude under the steering mechanism switched by autonomous mode following the desire directions. The main controller hardware is a PIC 16F877 microcontroller. The Magnetic compass sensor will detect the heading angle and then PIC controller will read the angle from the sensor. Controller output will be calculated using Pill controller algorithm which in PIC controller and the output will control servo movement of the flying vehicle. The control design for the flying robot present here is base on one - degree of freedom, but due to the hardware limitations and heavy wind disturbance the flying robot system could not be controlled automatically. Automatic control might be possible with robustness hardware design and additional control setup to compensate the wind effect. In addition to this a mathematical model of the system can be developed and simulated with the disturbance and wind effect. This will be helpful to understand the limitations in this problem |
