Abstract | This research is accomplished to study the concept of knowledge creation in an organization by applying the contexts of The Stock Exchange of Thailand as a case study. As the organization is in the developing stage of knowledge creation process, it is very practical to study and find information from the real circumstances. The research identifies the concept of knowledge management and knowledge creation by referring to SECI model of Nonaka. The aim is to understand the process of knowledge conversion between tacit and explicit knowledge, and programs or tools that support the flow of the process as well. Moreover, recommendations are provided at the last part of the research to be a general guideline of knowledge creation process in an organization. The primary information and data is obtained mainly from structured interview with several key persons related to knowledge creation process of the organization. Also, the secondary data is collected from potential sources for the research's most accomplishment. The research study concludes that knowledge creation process must be taken into every part of the organization to build up its own competitive advantage. To be the most effectiveness, human resource is the most important factor of the process implementation. The initiation and support must come from top level of employees then the whole organization must put the process into practice all together. In addition, organization culture and environment is essential because each organization would have its unique pattern. Therefore, an organization should assign knowledge creation process that is appropriate to its culture and business environment. |
