Abstract | Many developing and transitional economies have become involved in software exports and achieved huge success by leveraging their strengths such as India, Israel, China etc. Some aspirant countries for example, Jordan and Argentina have been attempting to develop strategies entering the global software marketplace. Drawing on data from both primary and secondary sources, this research study analyses the problems of Bangladesh as a software exporting country. Less developed domestic market, poor quality software developer and their attrition, incompetent telecommunication networks, inadequate collaboration and competition among the software companies, complicated access to finance, poor international linkages and less social trust are some of the major constraints impeding the rapid expansion of software export in Bangladesh. |
