AbstractIntegrated Environment Information Service (IEIS) will provide a range of services, tools and mechanisms for customers to exploit the value of online resources and existing services at its best. The developed service will enable presentation, delivery and utilization of online resources and services in ways customized to support individual and organizations necessities for their own preferred purposes. Extensive use of web services technologies to integrate multiple services, providing environment information for multiple purposes, will provide several benefits such as interoperability, wide industry support, rapid information deployment and acquisition, just in time integration, and creation of new business opportunities. This study has covered ways to integrate that information from different services into one portal service or a base service through the broad use of Web Services. The target is to allow service providers in the web to work together to provide more faultless services than are possible currently and allow service users to discover information with much ease. In part, the intention is to reduce the need for end-users to interact with multiple, different Web sites in order to discover, access and use resources that are of interest to them. The proposed service is aimed to provide various information services regarding many aspects of the environment. But for the implementation purpose, prime focus has been given in supplying general information such as weather, geographic data, maps and images for places and an information service for marine oil spill disaster.
