AbstractThe purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the relationships between organization investment in employee development and affective commitment, job satisfaction, intent to leave of employees working in National Finance Service, Ministry of Finance. Research was conducted through a survey instrument consisting of organizational investment in employee development, Job satisfaction, affective commitment, and intent to leave organization questions adopted from the validated Lee and Bruvold (2003) investment in employee development questionnaires. The study generated a 72.72 percent response rate from 579 employees of the ministry. Responses from the survey were statically analyzed with descriptive statistics, correlation and simple regression analyses. Results of the study indicate that organization investment in employee development is positively associated with affective commitment and job satisfaction. It also indicates negative association with intent to leave. As our expectation, affective commitment and job satisfaction fully mediate with negative relationship between OIED and intent to leave. This research should help public organization managers understand the relationship organization investment in employee development has with affective commitment, job satisfaction, and intent to leave
