Abstract | Maintenance process is an important process in the most businesses. Good maintenance not only makes the items or parts operate properly but also extends the life of those items. Good maintenance usually comes from good maintenance management. Good maintenance management should manage the maintenance information systematically. All the maintenance information is collected and traced in order to make the analysis for increasing the efficiency of the item and its maintenance. The use of information technology expands to all businesses. It supports the business process to be easier, quicker and transparent. It also enables business to be more international standards. So the use of the information technology is one method to support the maintenance management business. The computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is basic technology using the computer to collect and manage maintenance data to support the maintenance task. The purpose of this research is to develop the maintenance management system for the aircraft maintenance processes. The case study is the aircraft maintenance section of the flight inspection and services department of the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (AEROTHAI). The development refers to the concept of the CMMS. It starts from learning the current aircraft maintenance management process and gathering the requirements that are necessary for development. Then the system design is created in order to propose the function of the system to users. The system design must be consistent with the work process. Then the development phase is executed. The aircraft maintenance management system is a web-based system and has the functions that support the aircraft maintenance management process of AEROTHAI. |
