AbstractThe objectives of this thesis are to develop a technique to analyze Web pages in terms of the meaning of their relationships and evaluate its performance. The proposed technique is implemented and presents results based on the combination between the visualization tool and a basic HTML interface. It allows the user to navigate though not only related pages and communities, but also incoming and outgoing pages and communities with respect to their meaning, which is a generative way of the Web navigation. In addition, the related page algorithm, known as Companion-, is decomposed to enable the function of determining a new Web behavior (e.g. specific Web site, personal site and blog site). The new proposed algorithm, called Companion-Site, is exploited to be able to identify related pages based on patterns of URL construction. The proposed technique is evaluated by ten volunteers who are Thai people in the AIT in April 2006. The result shows that the performance of the technique is in good level.
