| Abstract | Due to resources shortage, careful investment decision plays an important role in the development of' developing country like Vietnam. The decision in investment forms an essential part of the project investment selection process. The project evaluation is established in project selection phase which requires a careful decision between competing project investment alternatives. Each project will have different costs. benefits, and risk that are not well defined with certainty. The study is aimed to develop a Web-based decision support system assisting project investment selection. The system has been designed with four main modules (input data module, financial factors calculation module, project ranking module, and sensitivity analysis module) and a database management system. The main functions are calculating the financial flictors and ranking the project investment with risk factors to be interdependence considered. A model applied in this research is a combination of financial model, possibility distribution theory. Analytic Network Process (ANP) technique and sensitivity analysis method for evaluating and ranking project Investment at feasibility study stage. The system is developed on Microsoft Visual Basic.NET. The Microsoft Access is used like a database management system. In addition, the ASP.NET is used as server for launching the system. The case study of Petrovietnam is used for illustrating the system. This Web-based decision support system for project investment selection is ready to use for selecting a project investment of Petrovietnam. |
