| Abstract | In Myanmar, the appropriate, suitable and systematic risk management in organizing, planning and implementation processes are not firm yet in the construction projects. Since the country has been facing the ongoing civil war, the construction management in the conflict area are going with the engineer’s experiences and traditional management systems. In this regard, this study on “Project Risk Management in remote and conflict area”, has conducted. In this study, project risk management in remote and conflict area of road construction project were analyzed and observed. Moreover, risk management frame work and solution for risk management of this project and lesson learnt of this project were also discussed in this study. According to this study, Einine-Mineyin road construction project, it had high project risks and construction risks. There found Project Management System, Political risk, Environmental risk, financial risk, Poor Communication and Coordination and construction risk are the major risk factors of this project. This is important to have supportive and enforcement from ministry level and government level to set advocacy on systematic risk management in the construction industry. |
