AbstractNon-governmental organisations (NGOs) play an important role in serving the needs of the society at large. The nature of their work is very challenging as they strive to meet the demands of the community and their donors. Although lCTs have improved NGOs efficiency and effectiveness, the management of their lCT resources is still poor. lCT governance models and standards are beneficial to evaluate and improve the ability of organisations in managing lCT resources. This research has focused on the workshop implementation activity in four NGOs and how the lCT processes in the lCT governance model, COBIT, were applied. As a result, we would know how these processes affected the information flow and information quality of this activity. We began by assessing the lCT maturity level of the workshop implementation and prioritising the relevant lCT processes. We proceeded by identifying the background of these NGOs and their respective staff chosen for this research. We also assessed the workflow, user satisfaction level, lCT skills level for the lCT tools that they have used. The main objective of this research was to clearly identify how an lCT governance model can be used to improve the critical processes in NGO operations
