AbstractThe e-commerce entrepreneurs in Thailand are steadily increasing over the time. It implies that an online business becomes the popular tools used for gaining competitive advantages over other competitors. However, there are some e-commerce entrepreneurs that could not be able to meet their objectives because they have some poor planning. Consequently, there are needs of a particular guideline to assess the potential and the performance of e-commerce entrepreneurs. The purpose of this study is to support the online business decisions of e-commerce entrepreneurs in Thailand by building business intelligence (BI) application for predicting an e-commerce market potential indicator (EC-MPI). This indicator aims to enable entrepreneurs to gain deep understanding of their position and current situation of conducting e-commerce in a systematic way. The indicator will playa key role in reducing the risk of e-commerce failures so that it increases the success probability. By implementing BI application, the entrepreneurs would be able to efficiently assess the performance and potential of their e-commerce. BI application provides a clear picture of current position and situation of their online business and its relevant characteristics. In addition, entrepreneur will effectively allocate their resources corresponding to their performance and business conditions. Most importantly, an appropriate decision-making will decrease risk of implementing e-commerce. To accomplish the application, a web application is designed by using HTML and PHP. It is possible to perform risk analysis, performance analysis, and profitability analysis if the relevant data can be acquired in the future
