AbstractTactile experience, initially confined to major equipment d ifficult to produce is now available on many touching devices such as phones or touch-pads, making the tactile environment one of the most widely and frequently used by people. While reflection on the user experience progresses and applications number and diversity are increasing exponentially, as well as getting more and more accessible, we can notice that a big lack in this domain can be located in the ability to provide users a non-classica l feedback (other than visual or audible). Such a feedback would help users to immerse themselves in their activities and doing so, improve their experience while using touching devices. This research answers to how it wou ld be possible to reuse the current touching devices in order to provide users a brand new type of feedback. It will focus on the use of a new kind of stylus called here the iPpen, or intelligent Powered pen, which would be able to perform a given set of actions such as click, vibration, brake or acceleration in order to produce the above-cited feedback.
