AbstractBIM Technology has been implemented widely in the construction industry with various applications. The case study was investigated at the construction stage of the project in Vietnam by the D&B contract. In this case, the road map of the BIM process has been shown at the project level, benefits of BIM which were analyzed, is feasible and potential for coordinating and collaborating among project stakeholders. The outstanding BIM process of the traditional method has demonstrated that it is the future of development in the construction industry. The case study analyzed the impacts of BIM process to archive project goals by coordinating and collaborating among project stakeholders who did the traditional methods at the design stage and transfer data from 2D CAD to 3D BIM model. The results showed that are more efficient in coordination between architecture, structure engineer and other engineering systems. The thesis also recommend why we need the framework for implementing the BIM process at the company level (vertical) and project level (horizontal).
