Abstract | In this research, we quantify the impact of the bullwhip effect, the phenomenon in which information of demand is amplified when moving up a supply chain, for a simple two¬stage supply chain with one supplier and one retailer. Assuming that the demand is non¬stationary and follows an Autoregressive integrated moving average model, ARIMA( 1,1,1) and inventory policy is the base stock policy, we investigate the effect of autoregressive parameter, moving average coefficient, lead time and also the influence of time element on the bullwhip effect |
