AbstractBrain machine interface is a system that records the signal from brain and then converts into the command signal for controlling robot arms or devices. Its applications have appeared in many aspects such as medical, military and rescued activities. In this field, the recording signals are collected from people brain or from animal brain like monkey, rat, .. This research has been related to Brain Machine Interface on animals, roborat. Recording the signal from the rat brain and then analyzing that signal are two main tasks during the research. With the help of doctor from the Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok for implanting the electrodes on the rat brain, the signals then were recorded and analyzed. In this research, the hardware design and programming for recording and analyzing signal have done. After acquiring signal, data have been saved to a text file for analyzing task. Some techniques and algorithms have been used in the signal recognition such as FFT transform for analyzing the signal in frequency domain, digital filter for reducing the noise and neural network for training the data. The results about the relations~ip between the neural signal and the rat behaviors are also shown and explained
