AbstractStill, Lao P.D.R is depended on pesticides for agricultural activities especially, rice field and vegetable farming. The pesticide distribution to fanner level is carried out through many channels and generally the farmers can access to pesticides freely in the village market. During 1992-2004 periods, 203.5 tons of persistent organic pesticides have been imported and stocked for use. The agricultural production, especially in Vientiane Capital City is dominated by rice and vegetables cultivation. Pesticides are intensively used for farming, and the farmers make choice of use by their experience. Folidol (parathionmethyl) is commonly used for almost all crops and other pesticides also used, depending on their choice. The concentration of pesticides used was not followed by instructions. Therefore, there are ample avenues to pollute soil, water and air by pesticides and subsequent affects to human health and the environment. The strategy of addressing to clean up the environment problems caused by soil pollution from pesticides, bioremediation was evaluated as a possible mean; the composting is one technique to degradation of endosulfan contamination in soil. The degradation of endosulfan in compost of endosulfan was observed in the (lay seven, twenty, thirty five respectively
