AbstractBrain-Machine Interfaces, or BMI, are an attempt to artificially replicate the electrical-to¬mechanical translation done naturally in animal muscles. The technology, as it currently stands, consists of electrodes placed in the brain to pick up the signals traveling down individual motor neurons. A remotely-guided rat, popularly called a ratbot or roborat, is a rat with electrodes implanted in the brain. In this research study, the rat's brain was studied to find position of electrodes. Three electrodes were placed in the medial forebrain bundle (MFB) and the somatosensory cortex. On the other hand, the hardware was also designed to serve the experiment. The experiment was realized to control rat's movement. The duration of stimulated signal and number of experiment should be limited to avoid injuring rat's brain. After finishing every experiment, the training way was improved. Thus, the experiment was made more and more, the best training way could be found out. In the experiment, the rat was only trained in the three-way crossroads and the crossroads
