Abstract | Pulp Mill 2 of Advance Agro Company is suffering from ClO₂ shortage when they push up production. D1 filtrate instead of D0 filtrate in prebleaching dilution helps in brightness raise and ClO₂ saving. With the help of D1 filtrate we can try lower kappa factor in Do stage. Reaction temperature of 90°C can be applied in D0 stage. It is not efficient in Hex A removal with short retention but it accelerates the reaction rate. To secure the final brightness and save chemicals 1.0% ClO₂ charge in D1 is recommended with 0.3% NaOH charge in this D-EOP-D bleaching sequence. 180 minutes retentions time is necessary in D1 to obtain the target brightness but the temperature effect in brightness development in D1 seems to be minor. To secure pulp final properties with increasing production, Advanceagro has to take these or other equivalent actions as long as they have the ClO₂ supply problem |
