Abstract | Nowadays, many construction projects appear in Myanmar as Myanmar is starting to be developed. When the country starts to develop, it is clear that the construction industry comes first so that a lot of high-rise buildings, condominiums, shopping malls and infrastructure projects are emerging and at the same time, a lot of foreign investments have entered into Myanmar market. Therefore, Myanmar construction market becomes a crowded industry characterized by high entry rate, but high opportunities. Among the competitors, construction companies must show their commitment and competence to maintain or gain projects and customers. But there are so many contractors are facing company performance issue in terms of finance, technology stagnation and client’s satisfaction in their company. Business competencies are required to know for the owners and contractors’ business competencies are associated with their company of contractor competencies link with company performance in construction. The researcher used quantitative research by conducting questionnaire. In quantitative research, 2 statistical methodologies are used analyzed the data. First, descriptive analysis is used to describe the characteristics of respondents and companies. Then, correlation analysis is carried out to know the correlation between contractors’ business competencies and company performance. The research has found that contractors’ business competencies have significant relationship with construction company performance. |
