AbstractIndoor navigation is a widely discussed area at present in both industrial environment and the research fields. The main reason for this is the very low accuracy of locating services like Global Positioning System (GPS) for indoor positioning. Many alternative suggestions for this issue are available at present while Ultra-Wideband (UWB) is considered to be a one alternative with the highest accuracy. The large bandwidth of UWB is able to find different multipath components such that it can estimate the Time of Flight (TOF) accurately. Pozyx is a system that uses UWB technology to obtain accurate indoor positioning of multiple users using trilateration or multilateration. This system also offers motion sensing and wireless communication. Using the motion sensors, the orientation, acceleration, angular velocity and other sensor data of the tag can be identified. This helps to obtain the posture of a person. For the noise cancellation in navigation, filtering techniques such as Kalman filter can be used. Since Kalman filter is for the linear systems, Unscented Kalman filter can be use to filter out the non-linear data. For more accurate fall detection deep learning techniques with different neural networks can be used. In this research we are going to detect the real time position together with the posture of a person in an indoor environment.
