AbstractIn educational units, students need to be able to search and browse information in a decentralize way. Course information is the skeleton in educational community. As technologies for the Internet have improved, international institutions have proposed detailed information based on several new technologies, such as ubiquitous computing, ontology engineering, semantic web and grid computing for providing information. In order to fulfill the service of providing information, the desired goal of this research paper is to implement an ontology-based course catalog system for supporting conceptual based browsing and searching services to benefit the Asian Institute of Technology educational community.
