AbstractWeb based product promotion had became popular in advertising products since the Internet is now widely used as a marketing channel. It reduces the limitations of product promotion in traditional way which includes the limitation in geographical areas, limited time frames, and limited number of audiences. With the use of the Internet, product information in digital form can easily be reached by a large number of audiences in different places at any time, but cannot be accessed by marketing tools or promotion applications. Promoting products through marketing channels requires product data in specific forms and formats such as data feeds and mark up HTML, in which this specific data cannot be adapted to other applications. These specific data are prepared and stored in database of marketing application before calculating, ranking, and representing them to the users. Therefore, the product information on the provider's sites as well as marketing application may have conflicts in such a way that the latest version of data which is launched on provider sites are not synchronized in real time with the applications. This research study proposed a new way of product promotion by adopting semantic web technology to increase efficiency in exposing product data. The proposed product promotion way is to integrate Good Relations, Resource Description Framework (RDF) and Linked Open Data (LOO) into web based product promotion where Good Relations is used as a standard semantic ontology to expose product data while RDF and LOO represent data retrieval at run time.
