Abstract | Nowadays, tourist arrival rate is rapidly growth in Myanmar and the available tourism services are a lot less than the demand. Access to online information by the tourism industry in Myanmar is limited and they need some service to visit around Myanmar. In this research, the main aim is to design, develop and apply a chatbot for tourism industry in Myanmar. So, this research is to develop a chatbot that based on travel ontology design. This chatbot can help the user to suggest where to visit and show where are recommend places. User can also use this chatbot to find hotels and type of transportation around user's location. Our chatbot system is implement on the Facebook messenger, so everyone can use via Facebook. The chatbot is accessible 2417, but it only supports English language because our purpose is based on foreign tourist who do not know about Myanmar and give immediate response to trav- ellers queries. Dialogftow and ontology are most important part of this chatbot. Dialogftow can understand natural language conversation with the user. Intents and entities are created based on destination type, activities and accommodation type and rating. The represented entities will be extracted form the user's conversation as parameters and it will use to query form ontology in Python.The designed ontology is based on the user's location and user's interested activities, destination, accommodation, and activities are top class of ontology. We create some competency questions to improve this ontology. This chatbot is integrated with Facebook Messenger as user interface. The designed ontology is developed using Protege which stored the knowledge while the dialog manager is handled using Dialogftow (API.ai). The integration of Dialogflow and the ontology is managed through Python. The related response to the query will be formatted and returned to the user on Facebook Messenger. |
