AbstractAs a consequence of the rapid economic growth in Vietnam, the demand of electricity is increasing vastly. Therefore building power plants to satisfy the economy's demands is one of the most crucial factors for keeping economic growth. In the recent years, the Vietnamese Government has encouraged national/international investors to participate in the energy sector, especially in electricity generation, in forms of Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT), Build, Operate, and Owner (BOO) etc. projects. To stimulate investors to produce and sell electricity, it is required to establish an electricity marketplace and supporting information system to control the market. The form of this thesis is Single-Buyer Electricity market of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN). Emarketplace implementation for electrical industry is different from standard e-marketplaces since energy is a special product. As electricity energy is produced subject to demand and can not be stored, most of functions on standard e-marketplaces such as listing products catalogues, choosing products, shipping products, etc do not exist. Detailed functions of electricity emarketplace are to generate dispatching schedule for all of power plants participating in the market, to make contracts between power plants and EVN, to calculate payments, etc. The scope of this study focuses on analyzing, designing and implementing payment application and displaying the results on a website for all participants in single buyer e-marketplace model
