AbstractThis study, Eucalyptus camadulensis chips from Thailand was used. Chips were screened, cooked and oxygen delignified in the same way. Oxygen delignified pulp was bleached by D₀EOPD₁ and QPODQPO bleaching sequences to targeted hexenuronic acid contents and also targeted brightness. Different HexA contents were achieved by different chlorine dioxide charge. D₀EOPD₁ sequence could bleach pulps to 0-20 meq/kg of HexA content, while QPODQPO sequence could bleach to 20-45 meq/kg. Bleached pulps were then determined fiber characteristics and brightness reversion. Each different HexA pulps were refined to thTee different beating degrees; then fiber characteristics and freeness were determined. Handsheets were made for comparing paper properties of different HexA pulps. Handsheet furnish included refined hardwood pulp (our samples), refined softwood pulp and filler. Cationic retention aid was added during sheet forming. Handsheets properties were determined, then, compared. For hand sheet optical properties, different HexA contents are not show any significant. The strength, low HexA pulp from D₀EOPD₁ sequence shows a little higher strength and wider strength development though refining. One interest, higher HexA content pulps show trend of higher scott bond. It might be said, different HexA contents have less effects on pulp and paper properties
