AbstractThis study emphasizes on Task Ontology, which is a system of vocabulary for describing inherent problem-solving structure. The purpose of this study is to create schema of Task Ontology and XML (Extensible Markup Language). Schema is constructed in order to use as a standard framework that can be applied to various problem-solving systems. XML is utilized for representing whole relevant data in Task Ontology. Moreover, additional framework as XML DD (XML Declarative Description) is also integrated. Such framework concerns with information retrieving engine and transformation theory that transform from non-ground terms to ground terms. In developing the prototype system, ETC (Equivalent Transformation Compiler) Query Engine is selected for designing the query XML document. Its language paradigm also corresponds to XML DD framework. Java programming is also required in order to create a central control unit and communicate information and semantics that are grasped from XML document throughout the network.
