AbstractThis study conducted to investigate the Geohydrology in term of groundwater modeling, hydrogeology and chemical properties of groundwater in Mazar-e-Sharif city. Also, the hydrological, hydrogeological and chemical analyses of groundwater quality are catTied out in this study. The results of these above analyses have been showed by income of graphical illustration in chapter 4 of this study. Indeed, the groundwater situation from MSL has been found and carried out for this study that the south part of focus area is highest point than compared with north part. Also, the groundwater flow directions for the focus area have been moved south to north. However, the groundwater of the study area has been fed from south mountains by snow melt and rain falls. Therefore, the groundwater discharge and quality of water is good at the south part. The modeling of groundwater direction flow effect has been carried out in this study. It has been done by using of Visual MODFLOW 3-D finite different method in steady state condition. The model consists of one aquifer which was divided in to eleven material types for property designation. The model used an area ( 40 x 32) km with steady state calibration. From the result it is realized that the groundwater flow directions flow has sourced from mountains which is located south part of focus area. However, according the wells sectionals from focus area, the groundwater modeled and groundwater flow direction has moved south to north patt at the modeled domain area.
