AbstractIn this thesis, a numerical simulation of heat transfer and pressure drop in Mea Moh air preheater is presented. The numerical method used in this work is based on heat transfer equations by using finite volume. To build the model, the firstly result is compared with the paper from literature reviews. The important effect parameters on the effectiveness of air preheater were also studied. The parameters considered were the fin pitch, fin height and fin thickness. ANSYS Fluent is used to simulate to find the effect of their parameter changing on the effectiveness of air preheater. As the result, by increasing and decreasing both of the fin pitch and the fin height result in decreasing and increasing of air preheater performance respectively. Besides, by decreasing and increasing fin thickness result in slightly changing of air preheater effectiveness.
