Abstract | Lighting Efficiency and Daylighting for Commercial Building: A Proposed DSM Program for EDC conducted the estimate of energy saving from retrofitting existing L.E. lighting by H.E lighting appliances and from day lighting, in EDC Training Center. The retrofitting lighting considered as two options, option A estimated annual energy saving, 43.674MWh, while option B estimated annual energy saving, 58.841MWh. Daylighting penetration through windows in the building, the annual energy saving I 83.479MWh was estimated. From energy assessments of EDC Training Center, DSM lighting program for commercial sector and supplemented daylighting for building lighting would be promoted to entire commercial sector, Cambodia, estimated target energy saving up to 49.608GWh and 78.542 GWh from the artificial lighting turned off some part during the office hours respectively. Energy labeling should be implemented as it provides more information on efficient lighting technologies that help customers to select the light lighting appliances for retrofitting or new installing. However, it mitigates to remove out low efficient lighting products from the market. The energy labeling for lighting assigned as comparison with sub category label that complied with neighbor country and easily recognized by customers |
