AbstractRecently, the electronic commerce in Thailand is not fully developed, especially in tourism industry. There are many Thai companies have launched their websites but less than 10 percent have full electronic commerce transaction. One of major difficulties in the development of electronic commerce is lacking of statistical information about its potential customers. In tourism industry, to know the traveler's perceptions toward electronic commerce, conectly, is considered as one of the major aspects in the development of tourism electronic commerce. The survey had been conducted at Bangkok International Airport to examine Thai traveler's perception toward electronic commerce. It has been found that there is significant proportion of Thai travels accessing to the Internet. Most of Thai travelers understand, correctly, what electronic commerce is. However, very less of them do confident on the payment system of the Internet. This may be considered as a major obstruction of the development of electronic commerce in Thai tourism industry.
