AbstractCurrently, Speed limit violation has increased in many countries in the world. Most of the traffic police are used the laser speed gun theory in order to detect the vehicle speed. They aimed the laser towards the moving vehicle and detect the reflected beam from the vehicle to measure the moving speed and the theory behind the procedure is the Doppler effect. Most of the speed detection purposes are done by a manual speed guns. But it is difficult for user to trigger the machine in order to detect. So this research is about a speed detection system which has manufactured using develop software to overcome obstacles of manual speed guns, by Asian institute of technology Thailand. The spot speed detection is the developed system, which has used newly developed software and automatic speed detection command. This system is user convenient and many features have been installed inside the software where user can be able to get not only the speed but the other details of the vehicle such as date, time, and a picture of the license plate. This research has mainly focused on the investigation the usage of the system and, check the accuracy where user can be able to be confident about their speed measurements. The author has used many accuracy check methods to check the accuracy of the system. Different error calculation methods have been followed in order to come up with which methods gives the least value. The author have done a proper study about the precise usage of the system and has created a user manual for user convenient. Finally author have come up with the conclusion that the machine is accurate enough to promote the system for commercial usage.
