AbstractAs a fast growing product in the construction industry of Thailand, many studies has been carried out to increase the performance of CLC products. In this study, an experimental approach is used to determine both physical and mechanical characteristics of CLC wall panel. CLC wall panels used for this study are obtained from a commercial CLC manufacturer in Thailand. Compressive strength, water absorption and physical behaviour under horizontal impact is tested using standard test methods provided by British Standards and the standards provided by the American Society for Testing Materials. From the compressive strength test results it is determined that the specimen with the Gypsum layer has a higher compressive strength in comparison with the specimen without the Gypsum layer. Moreover all the specimens were able to have higher compressive strength values than the minimum values provided by the company. For the water absorptivity test, results were having slightly higher values which are obtained from previous studies. However a comparison with normal weight concrete is not performed in the current study. For the horizontal impact test, the specimens had a well performance while having very low deflections.
