AbstractThe verification of Constant rate of strain consolidometer with radial drainage is investigated in this capstone project with the remoulded clay. Consolidation parameters of coefficient of consolidation and coefficient of permeability for radial and vertical direction were compared. Comparison done for the same sample to obtain whether the radial characterises are match with vertical characteristics. However, the results were in a close agreement with unity when the ratio of radial to vertical characterises are compared. The method to obtain the preconsolidation pressure by the minimum pore water pressure was compared with the Casagrande construction results. Results indicated that the method is easy and accurately.
