AbstractIn the construction industry nowadays, cellular lightweight concrete (CLC) is one of the most popular materials which are being used. For this research, the mix design of CLC used consist of 14% fly ash, a water-cement (w/c) ratio of 0.309 and has a density of 818 kg/m3. Using this mix design, this research was carried out to determine the drying shrinkage and the compressive strength of the specimens, which were cured in water for 3, 7, 14 and 20 days and then was left exposed to outdoor conditions for 63 days. Obtained results confirmed that longer the water curing period, the lower the drying shrinkage observed and higher the density, lower the shrinkage. The lowest drying shrinkage was observed with the 14, and 20 days cured specimens, which was 2150 microstrain.
