AbstractEscalation of travel demand and willingness of using private vehicles are causing a swift motorization in various nations around the world. High percentage of users is probable to be vastly reliant on private motor vehicles. But due to the extensive private motorization, there has been a substantial amount of increment in traffic jamming and causing longer travel times. Arguably, it is a fact that the public transport must be a part of a solution in sustainable transportation. But to increase the mode share of public transportation, the service quality should be satisfactory in order to fulfil the expected requirements of the users. Hence, the motive of this paper is to examine the critical attributes of service quality which is important to public bus transportation by piloting a questionnaire survey among the users of public transportation.
