AbstractThe lesson gained from the terrorist’s assault on building is the need to be guarantee structures capability to oppose without total collapse. This report displays analytical routines for analyzing steel frame structure for blast loading, designed for gravity and medium seismic effect. Outline suggestion identified with the ETABS modeling for medium seismic effect for discrete evaluation of blast loading effects considering ductility ratio and end support rotation caused by the blast load. A five story steel moment frame is dissected so that the complex association effect of blast could be comprehended and quantified. Individual W14 section analyzed, as it dominate blast load throughout the study. In addition, this study examines variables that could be effect to blast capacity on a structure. The analysis and design of structures subjected to blast loads require a detailed knowledge of blast phenomena and the dynamic response of various structural elements. This research gives a comprehensive overview of the effects of explosion on structures.
