AbstractConstruction of high rise buildings is one of the most frequently occurring project types due to progressive congestion in city areas in all most all the countries around the world. On the other hand, money has more timely value than in the past. It encourages fast track project delivery. Limited space and fast track delivery has given logistic management process a prominence than in any other time. Researchers have found that proper logistic management can save up to 30% project cost and 10% of delivery time. Due to that a proper logistic management is vital in order to complete a project successfully in the current time. With the aim of making the logistic management process effective in high rise building construction projects, this study has introduce three separate logistic management modules for foundation work, structural work and finishing work. Some concepts form industrial logistics has been use to develop those modules. Apart from that, critical factors that should consider when managing logistic process and some recommendations for logistic management in high rise building construction projects are also introduced under this study.
