AbstractCellular lightweight concrete blocks are vastly used in the construction industry today. This mix design of foam concrete had a density of 815 kg/m3, FA -15 and w/c ratio of 0.375. This testing procedure includes the determination of the causes for the cracks appear on the cellular lightweight concrete blocks. The obtained results confirmed that curing for 3,7,14 and 20 days is not reducing the shrinkage of this mix design. A drying shrinkage of more than 2000 microstrain was observed in all curing periods. Since the tensile strength increase with the water curing period less drying shrinkage cracks were observed on the walls casted from 14 and 20 day plastic wrap cured walls.
