AbstractStructural control under seismic loading condition is becoming major problem in earthquake design. Among several seismic control systems, proposed system is more efficient and possible. A newly completely, Compression Free Brace System in Moment Resisting Frame has been developed to gripped the tensile force under seismic loading condition and release the compression load. In the conventional bracing system, that brace buckle under compression force. But newly proposed energy dissipation device avoid the compression load and it released As a result of that phenomena brace system never buckle under seismic loading. The hysteresis loop of the system is similar to tensile steel member. When this energy dissipation device subjected to the two brace element as a cross bracing method. One energy dissipation device gripped the tension force and another one released the compression force. So energy dissipation of the newly design device provide more effective and efficient to the structure. In this experiment basically checked the newly proposed energy dissipation device behavior and performance under loading and unloading condition. Main part of the device called as a jaw. This test has been carried out using the Universal Testing Machine. According to the results Jaw has been worked as a compression free energy dissipation device.
