AbstractThis report contains the details on designing, controlling and balancing of a moving cart inverted pendulum. This report explains the theoretical analysis of the mechanical system, mathematical modeling of the system, systems free response and also controller designing.First part of this report contains general overview of the project, which includes the basic principles and the design concepts of this project. Second part of this report contains previously conducted studies and researches which are related to this project and the essence needed form those projects. Third part of the report contains the theoretical concepts and the mathematical modules used in this project. This part briefly include theoretical analysis of the system, which includes dynamic modeling of the system using Lagrangian’s method and design of a controlling system using PID controller. Fourth and fifth part of the report contains the results and conclusions from the project. Sixth and Final part of the report contains the references and the Appendix
