| Abstract | This project relates to the deblocking process of optical eyewear lenses. A block is mounted to the lens so that it could be easily fixed to a CNC cutting machine for the lens to be cut to the shape of the spectacle frame. Once the lens is cut to the required shape the block needs to be deblocked. The deblocking has to be done in such a way that no harm is done to the protective layers applied on the lens and also considering the ergonomic aspects of the operator who will be performing the process. |
