AbstractThis report documents the design and implementing a target tracking pan-tilt control system. System detects motion based on the Background subtraction algorithm and single target object is chosen to track based on CamShift algorithm, and then by panning and tilting the camera, the target object is kept within the central region of the image frame. For controlling the pan and tilt heads its used DC servo with closed loop control. These kinds of systems are used for surveillance systems, robotics, industrial automation, and autonomous vehicle navigation.
