Abstract | Recently, Bus Rapid Transit had gain popularity all around the world because of its financial feasibility and easy installation compared with other intelligent transportation modes. Present day in Sri Lanka prevailing traffic congestion during peak hours due to high usage of private vehicles and the quality slump of the public transportation, implementation of BRT system will be a viable solution. Therefore objective of this study is to identify people choice among existing transportation modes and BRT and to come up with recommendations for a successful BRT implementation in near future. |
