Abstract | The challenge facing Mongolia nowadays is to sustain growth and rapidly complete transition process to a market economy and it has the ambitious long-term goal to join the global market. Major changes are more and more necessary to survive and compete effectively in this new environment. These changes demand more leadership. The need for leadership doesn't stop at the executive level. Corporations and enterprises realize that even lower level managerial, professional and technical employees are required to play a leadership role in their arena in the presence of increased competition. This research attempts to identify the similarities and differences of excellent leadership as perceived by Mongolian managers Effective leadership is an enormously important factor in the world today, and yet a factor that is too often missing in Mongolia. In order to implement the transition process smoothly and effectively, the effective leadership at both business and political level is desperately needed. |
