AbstractIn its effort to minimize the damage to satellite traffic caused by interference, this research is aimed at determining the benefits provided by the interfering transmitter location technique. This work discusses the major subjects treated in the study derived from the optimum measurement strategy, to the potential enhancements of the technique and to the manner in which Shinawatra Satellite Company intends to exploit the information provided by this technique in the context of its network management procedures. This research report describes the design of a model for interfering transmitter location technique for determining the positions of terrestrial satellite uplink stations using existing domestic satellites (Thaicom system) with minimal disruption to normal satellite operation. This research study presents an investigation of the performance of interfering transmitter location technique in the case of Shinawatra Satellite Systems by numerically evaluating the uplink site coordinates. The method involves measuring differential time delays of a single uplink signal observed through two adjacent spacecraft. As per the investigation, the recommendations suggested to get a unique location of interfering transmitter are obtained by employing an appropriate combination of the time differential delay and frequency differential methods.
