Abstract | This study designs and implements a method of Web access measurement to measure the Web access and interest of users. Many businesses try to find the method and develop their own Web measurement software to ensure the user's interest at their Web site. But, they still in the dark how to ensure whether users are interested in their Web site or not. The study therefore proposes the Web access measurement method, which comprises two main processes, namely Data Extraction and Decision Support Component. Data Extraction process consists of Improved Exposure Metric and Improved Interactivity Metric. Improved Exposure Metric indicates that Web page or banner ad exposes to users. For Improved Interactivity Metric, it indicates that the users actively engage with the Web content or banner ad. Both metrics are analyzed by considering the duplication of user and displaying the results based on request term. In the part of Decision Support Component, four criteria will be considered to help the Web owners know the user's interest in their Web site. This Web access measurement method is one of alternatives of Web access measurement methods that will give more confidence about user's interest in the Web site. |
