| Abstract | Road transport is a vital infrastructure for the economic development of the Lao PDR. The sector is among the priority businesses of the government. As being one of the economic reform components, privatization of road construction companies, is considered to be urgent due to insufficient budget to invest in the road sector development. This research study identifies the obstacles to the privatization in Lao PDR. The analysis is made to identify appropriate privatization methods for selected road construction companies.
