AbstractThe Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) exchange information with the different users of this information - the donor organizations, the beneficiaries, other NGOs, the government authorities and the general public. The information required for the different users is currently being organized in different documents. This thesis studies the problems of the NGO relating to information management and provides a prototype of the proposed solution. It is possible through XML to have a single document and provide different views of the same document for different users of the information. This thesis also shows a possible Document Type Definition (DTD) that could be used as a common DTD for all the NGOs who intend to exchange information using XML. NGOs then would be able to use this common DTD and the common XSL to display documents differently and also has the possibility to interact with a database.
